I am never enough for anybody.
Teacher said I don't like your poem.
Tear me down and rebuild me into your image.
I am never enough for anybody.
Boyfriend said I don't understand you.
Shatter me completely and rebuild me into your image.
I am never enough for anyone.
Student calls me a cracker.
Cut me open and rebuild me into your image.
I am never enough for anyone.
Mother told me, “you are so childish.”
Crack my soul wide and rebuild me into your image.
I am never enough for anyone
but I will be enough for myself.
I will remake myself into my own image.
