A little Taste of Death

I had a taste of death today.
It was caramel apples and
Cotton candy; the kind that
Melts on your tongue.

Then I started thinking
About the ferris wheel of life.
How you get on,
Thinking it'll be fun;

And you go around and around,
Seeing the conductor's face,
Like the people who keep popping up in your life;
Always at just the right or wrong time.

And even though your stuck in this cycle
it's your decision to rock back and forth;
Or just sit there losing your stomach with each
Downward fall.

Then the conductor stops you,
Which you swear it wasn't a long enough ride;
That you were jipped, but still the ride's over,
And you wonder if it was worth the money you spent.

So you walk to the concession stand,
Looking for that thing to fill your;
Unsatisfied ride, when the vendor
Hands you, a caramel apple and the cotton cand you ordered.
